About us
From sea turtles to sustainable trade, here’s our story.
At Nam Packaging, we're not just shaping packaging, but also the future, uniting communities under the banner of sustainability and pride.
Nam Packaging draws inspiration from the ‘Nam’ - the Meriam word for the Sea Turtle that graces the waters of the Torres Strait Islands and the iconic Great Barrier Reef. This reverence for nature is enriched by the Southeast Asian heritage of our co-founders, Nina Nguyen and Tony Ong of Pakko, echoing ancient trade connections and traditions.
We are committed to developing a brand that allows us to work with traditional owners across Australia. Our hope is that communities will identify with our Indigenous/Australian roots and feel inspiration and pride in being involved with Nam Packaging. We aim to do this by:
Engaging in knowledge sharing as an integral part of Caring for Country
Empowering future generations through specialised training programs
Supporting diverse businesses and social procurement strategies
Celebrating the artistry of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island artists in our designs
